Harley Davidson India has dropped the prices of the Fat Boy, the Fat Boy Special and the Heritage Softail Classic. The price of Fat Boy has been dropped to Rs 14.91 lakh from Rs 19.51 lakh, Fat Boy Special to Rs 15.60 lakh from Rs 20.01 lakh and the Heritage classic is now priced at Rs 16.25 from Rs 20.51 lakh. This is because the company has started assembling these motorcycles at their completely-knocked-down plant at Bawal in Haryana.
The American company currently assembles the Super Low 883, the Iron 883, the 883 Roadster, Forty-Eight, the Fat Bob and the Street Bob in India. Rests of the motorcycles are available via the completely built unit (CBU) route.
Harley Davidson is also planning to concentrate more on North-eastern India which includes states like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Meghalaya. During a recently bike festival which was held in Goa, Harley Davidson concluded their first national HOG rally which attracted over 600 bikers from all over India and out of this, there were quite a few Harley owners from North-East as well.
