- Low Rider S to be launched in next couple of months
- Will be positioned above the standard Low Rider
- Likely to cost around Rs 15-16 lakhs
Harley-Davidson is expected to launch the Low Rider S in India soon, most likely by April 2020.
The manufacturer has the standard Low Rider in the country. However, unlike the chrome-laden version, the Low Rider S gets blacked out look with the drivetrain, suspension and some other components finished in black. Moreover, the Low Rider S also gets a headlamp cowl that houses the full-LED headlamp. It also sports a flatter handlebar and slightly more upright riding position as compared to the laidback posture that the standard Low Rider offers.
The Low Rider S uses the same Softail chassis but gets a bigger and more powerful Milwaukee 114 engine with a displacement of 1868cc. The motor produces 155Nm of torque. Harley has also updated the suspension setup as well as braking by equipping the Low Rider S with dual-discs upfront. And, tipping the scale at 295kg, it also 10kg lighter than the standard version.
We expect the Harley-Davidson Low Rider S to cost around Rs 15 lakhs-Rs 16 lakhs; a premium of Rs 1-2 lakhs over the standard version.
