Harley-Davidson India recently announced that it has received an overwhelming response for the X440, their smallest engine capacity motorcycle. Moreover, the brand has also revealed a few important timelines for the same.
The booking window for the Harley-Davidson X440 will close on 3 August 2023 and the test rides for those customers who have pre-booked the bike will commence on 1 September. Following that, the brand will commence the official deliveries in October. The production of the X440 too will begin in September from Garden Factory at Neemrana, in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan.
Currently, the Harley-Davidson X440 is priced at Rs. 2.29 lakh for the Denim model while the Vivid and S trims retail at Rs. 2.49 lakh and Rs. 2.69 lakh (all ex-showroom, Delhi). All three variants of the Harley-Davidson X440 get the same design, bodywork and engine but differ in terms of features and hardware. The Denim model gets spoke wheels compared to the alloys on the other two options. Meanwhile, the S trim comes with smartphone connectivity which isn’t offered on the other two models.
The Harley-Davidson X440 rivals the Triumph Speed 400. It costs Rs. 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available in a single trim. The Speed 400 marks itself as the most affordable Triumph motorcycle and has been built in conjunction with Bajaj Auto.
