Harley-Davidson has announced its new business model for the Indian market. Through the new model, the American two-wheeler brand will work with Hero MotoCorp for sales and services.
Sajeev Rajasekharan, Managing Director – Asia Emerging Markets & India, Harley-Davidson, said that the company is working closely with Hero to ensure a smooth transition for the existing owners. Rajasekharan also confirmed that the company will provide the owners with updates as available. He has also assured them that the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, parts and accessories, general merchandise sales as well as after-sale services, warranty and H.O.G. activities will continue from January 2021 onwards.
The company also stated that the current dealer network will continue operations until 31 December 2020. The details about the updated dealer network and service centres that will be operational from 1 January 2021 will be announced before the end of this year.
Harley-Davidson will continue to bring new motorcycles to the Indian market, although the company is yet to reveal the finer details. The information about new motorcycles will be shared closer to their respective launches.
