- Three CVO models announced featuring Milwaukee-Eight 117
- Select Touring models get Milwaukee-Eight 114
- Also get new paint schemes and Boom! Box GTS infotainment system
Harley-Davidson has announced MY2019 updates for the CVO and Touring range of cruisers. Apart from the customary new paint jobs, these cruisers also get new Milwaukee-Eight engines and Boom! Box GTS infotainment systems.
The CVO, or Custom Vehicle Operations, is a special division which rolls out customised cruisers in limited numbers. For 2019, the CVO will roll out three models – the CVO Limited, CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide. All three will be powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 117 1917cc V-twin engine producing 169Nm of torque.
As for the Touring range, the Ultra Limited, Ultra Limited Low, Road Glide Ultra, Road Glide Special, Street Glide Special and the Road King Special now get the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engines in place of the 104s. This new V-twin displaces 1870cc and churns out 161Nm of torque.
All the listed CVO and Touring models get Harley-Davidson’s proprietary Boom! Box GTS infotainment system, with a 6.5-inch touchscreen TFT display. This system gets either two or four speakers depending upon the model and can also be paired with your phone through Bluetooth. A few of the CVO and Touring models are sold in India. As these bikes are manufactured in the US and sold here as CBUs, we expect the 2019 range to be launched in India in the next few weeks.
