- New premium touring motorcycle from Harley-Davidson
-Powered by 1745cc, V-twin engine
-Likely to arrive in India in the near future
Harley-Davidson has taken the wraps off the Electra Glide Standard.
The Electra Glide Standard is Harley’s no-nonsense touring motorcycle or in the manufacturer’s words, a ‘Dressed down Dresser’. Carrying the trademark batwing fairing, the bike looks similar to its siblings from Harley-Davidson’s touring range. It gets saddlebags and cast aluminium wheels too. However, the Electra Glide Standard chooses to let go of the fancy equipment like the screens and gets chrome with black trims that look appealing and add a modern-retro touch.
The Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Standard is powered by the Milwaukee Eight 107 engine. This 1745cc motor pumps out 65bhp at 5,500rpm and 150Nm of torque at 3250rpm. The Electra Glide Standard gets an electronic cruise control, hand-adjustable emulsion-technology rear shocks, Showa dual bending valve front suspension along with ABS-equipped Brembo brakes.
Harley-Davidson has priced the Electra Glide Standard at USD 18,999 (Rs 13.31 lakhs). We can expect the American manufacturer to introduce the bike in India in the near future.
