Harley-Davidson has re-introduced the Road King in the Indian market. This touring motorcycle has been launched at Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
With the launch of the Road King, Harley-Davidson has expanded its touring range which previously had only the Street Glide Special. The American manufacturer wants to cater to the growing number of touring enthusiasts in the country who are ready to pay a good price for a good product.
The Road King gets a tank-mounted instrument cluster surrounded by chrome. The Road King sports ABS that takes care of wheel locks and air-adjustable suspension that comes as standard. When it comes to comfort, it gets a two-up seat which is well cushioned and looks quite nice. There are full-length footboards to maximise the comfort. There is cruise control as well for those who want to relax during long rides. Saddle bags come as standard.
The Road King gets the air-cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 engine. This engine powers most of Harley-Davidson’s Touring range. This mill displaces 1689cc and delivers a peak torque of 142Nm through a six-speed transmission, which transfers power to the rear wheel via a belt drive.
Harley-Davidson is selling the Road King as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit. It will be sold in all the dealerships in the country.
