Harley-Davidson has launched a 24x7 road-side assistance program in India. The service is available across the country for owners of the iconic American motorcycles.
Harley-Davidson India has tied up with a road-side assistance service company called India Assistance which is owned by Mapfre. The company will be providing road-side support to Harley-Davidson owners in the country. Currently, there are nine Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country and all of them will come under this new road-side assistance program.
As part of this program, India Assistance will provide assistance free of cost for motorcycles that are within 150kms from the nearest Harley-Davidson dealerships excluding islands. Beyond 150kms, the motorcycle owner will be charged Rs 40/km as towing charges and Rs 25/km as petrol charges. In case of accidental breakdown or puncture, the company will tow the motorcycle to the nearest dealership. And in case of medical problem, India Assistance will help with nearest medical experts.
"With the team at INDIA ASSISTANCE, we are now offering a menu of important services, 24x7 support, and trucks that can safely and efficiently tow our entire model line-up. The roadside assistance program provides a sense of safety and comfort to our customers,” said Anoop Prakash, managing director, Harley-Davidson India.
