- Harley-Davidson’s official used bike portal launched
- Currently available only in the USA
- Customers can even sell directly to dealers
Harley-Davidson has launched an online portal on its official website called the HD-1 Marketplace. This facility for buying and selling pre-owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles is currently available only in the USA. Although considering the American manufacturer’s extensive international presence, we can expect it to be introduced in other parts of the globe soon.
The HD-1 Marketplace will enable customers to look for used Harley-Davidson motorcycles across the manufacturer’s dealer network. Apart from browsing the available options, customers can also customize their motorcycle online before making the purchase. The online portal also offers existing customers to sell their motorcycles directly to official dealers that are willing to buy.
Nonetheless, there is no word about the online portal being available in India yet. Harley-Davidson had shut down operations in India in 2020 but later went on to announce its partnership with Hero Motocorp for motorcycle, parts, accessories, general merchandise as well as after-sale services. It recently launched the Pan America 1250 for Rs 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and we also expect Harley-Davidson to launch the all-new Sportster S in India by the end of this year.
