Harley Davidson has launched the LiveWire One in the American market. The electric motorcycle is currently priced at USD 21,999 (Rs 16.38 lakh). Customers can purchase the LiveWire One from the company's official website or the twelve upcoming dealerships in California, New York and Texas with additional locations planned for winter. While Harley Davidson has launched the LiveWire One in the US there's no announcement from the brand regarding its India launch. Design
The LiveWire One gets a futuristic and muscular design. It comes with a circular headlamp that is placed in a cowl, scooped out single-piece seat with grab handle strap and a lean tail section. The electric motorcycle is available in two colour options: Horizon White and Liquid Black. The white paint scheme gives it a sophisticated look, while the black colour lends it a bold stance. The company already offers the LiveWire e-bike that gets a similar design and two extra colour options: Orange and Yellow. It's priced at USD 29,799 which makes it expensive by USD 7,800 over the LiveWire One.
Electric Motor
The e-bike is propelled using an electric motor that sits in an aluminium frame. The electric motor produces 105bhp of power and 117Nm of torque, which is used to take the bike from 0-96kmph in three seconds and hit a top speed of 117kmph. The LiveWire One is powered by a lithium-ion battery that delivers a city range of 235km, combined stop and go range of 153km and a highway range of 113km. This battery requires a charging time of sixty minutes when charged via the DC fast charger.
Features
The LiveWire One comes loaded with features like all LED lights, 4.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, haptic feedback, preset modes (Sport, Road, Range, Rain), custom mode, USB Type-C port, voice recognition and connected technology. It also gets safety features like cornering traction control (C-TCS) with three modes (low, medium and high), cornering ABS (C-ABS) and drag-torque-slip control. The electric motorcycle is further equipped with three settings for the haptic feedback that gives vibration to the rider, which enhances the riding experience. The TFT dash gets Bluetooth and Cellular connectivity and it also displays turn-by-turn navigation.
Hardware
The ride here is taken care of by Showa inverted forks at the front and Showa mono-shock suspension at the rear. Meanwhile, for braking, it employs Brembo brakes with a dual disc at the front and a single disc at the rear. The electric motorcycle runs on 17-inch wheels. These wheels are wrapped in Michelin Scorcher tyres having 120mm width at the front and 180mm width at the rear. The seat height here is kept at 762mm, while the e-bike weighs 255kg.
