- Pan America recalled in US
- Issue with seat base
- 2689 Pan Americas affected
Harley-Davidson has issued its first recall for the Pan America 1250. This recall has been issued in US and is related to the seat base of the motorcycle.
According to the recall documents, the Pan America’s seat base may not have been fastened properly. This could fracture the handhold portion of the base. The company said that this issue could have been developed due to the rider applying pressure while engaging the center stand. The variations in manufacturing the seat base could have made this problem grow.
The American brand will get in touch with all the 2689 owners of the Pan America in US and fix the issue free of charge. The company has advised the owners to not to use the rider hand hold feature till the fix has been done.
The Pan America sold in India is also made in US and imported here. But as of now, there are no reports of recall in the country.
