- Harley-Davidson delays launch to 2021
- Could be due to the new ‘Rewire’ strategy
- Electric bicycle and custom model to follow
Harley-Davidson has postponed the launch of its first adventure model, the Pan America, and the Bronx streetfighter to 2021.
The two, highly-awaited motorcycles were supposed to be unveiled sometime this year as part of the 2018 ‘More Roads to Harley-Davidson’ strategy. However, the American bikemaker introduced a new plan in April called ‘Rewire’ to address the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. This new plan has rewired Harley’s entire operating model and is set to focus on profitability rather than introducing the brand to a new set of riders.
We can expect the manufacturer to launch the Pan America and Bronx by the end of this year as 2021 models, just in time for riding season in most countries. Moreover, Harley-Davidson is also likely to launch a ‘high-performance custom model’ along with its electric bicycles sometime next year.
