Harley-Davidson, once again, is undertaking a major recall. The iconic American manufacturer has recalled 1,85,272 motorcycles in the United States for a possible issue with the saddlebag mounts.
If a saddlebag is not adequately secured, it may separate from the motorcycle while riding, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash. The company said that the faulty mounts may not adequately secure the saddlebags to the motorcycles.
The affected motorcycles are the 2014-2015 Road King, Street Glide, Street Glide Special, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Ultra Limited, Police Road King, Police Electra Glide, CVO Ultra Limited, 2014 CVO Road King, 2015 Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low, Ultra Limited Low, Road Glide, Road Glide Special, CVO Street Glide, and CVO Road Glide Ultra. While some of these motorcycles are sold in India as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit, they are likely to be a part of this recall. However, the Indian arm of the company needs to officially announce it here.
