The Road Glide Special slots in Harley-Davidson’s touring range. This bagger is quite a special offering with a lot of tricks up its sleeves. We recently spent a few days with it and you read our experience here. For now, we bring some of the most hilarious pictures of the bike from our review.
The Road Glide Special is truly an attention magnet with a massive road presence, thanks to its burly body panels and gigantic dimensions.
The visual highlight of the bike is its profoundly large front faring that incorporates a wide windscreen, an air intake, and a pair of circular LED headlamps.
At the rear, there’s a pair of angled panniers, typical of a bagger. These don’t just add to its visual mass but also hold a lot of luggage, proving a boon on long-distance rides.
Sitting behind the bulbous front fairing is a large touchscreen display that not only shows a lot of information but also allows you to control a lot of features such as GPS, radio, and Bluetooth connection.
The instrument cluster is flanked by speakers on both sides which deliver a loud, bassy and crisp audio. That means your entertainment moves with you wherever you go.
The Road Glide Special also comes equipped with Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) which is basically a combination of ABS, TCS and cornering ABS for keeping the rider safe in most scenarios.
Propelling this 387kg behemoth is a118 Milwaukee 1868cc V-Twin engine that produces a staggering 163Nm of peak torque. Most of the torque is delivered from as low as 2,500rpm and it keeps on pulling without any stress.
Harley-Davidson has pegged the Road Glide Special at Rs 44 lakh (on-road) which makes it the most expensive offering in the American bike maker’s stable.
