Harley-Davidson has launched the 2017 Street 750 in India at Rs 4.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Apart from the customary updates for paint schemes, Harley-Davidson has also added an ABS system to the Street 750’s features list.
Braking has always been the chink in Harley-Davidson Street 750’s armour, though there was a marked improvement in the 2016 MY update. Now with the addition of an ABS system, Harley-Davidson has further improved in this area. Apart from ABS, these models also come with the company’s proprietary smart security system and a proximity key-fob. The Street 750 is now also available in three dual-tone paint schemes - vivid black, velocity red and fire red.
The 2017 Harley-Davidson Street 750 is Rs 40,000 more expensive than the older non-ABS model. However, given the benefits of this safety feature and the relatively small percentage of the bump in sticker price, it is well worth the extra money. The Street 750 competes with other middleweight bikes like the Kawasaki ER-6n, Benelli TNT 600i and the Hyosung Aquila Pro 650.
