- Plans to cut unto 30 per cent of its range
- Pan America will be launched next year
- Bronx could be postponed
Harley-Davidson has decided to cut its model range by up to 30 per cent. This development happened after the company saw some big losses in the second quarter of 2020.
The company’s new boss, Jochen Zeitz, talked about this new plan a few days ago. According to him, the company would focus on high growth segment for now. So the company now would extend the 2020 models by a few more months and the new 2021 bikes will come only next year.
The American brand will continue with the Pan America plans as it believes there’s a huge potential for such bikes. The Bronx , too, is likely to be launched next year. However, the 1250cc custom model might not hit the shop floor for a few years. There's also no news on the entry-level Harley-Davidson that was planned for the Asian markets like India.
There’s a chance the company would also discontinue some of the variants of the current line-up. It may possibly look for models that don’t sell in good numbers and also isn’t helping bring in revenue into the company.
