- Harley-Davidson’s to showcase new motorcycle next month
- To be based on the 1250 Custom Prototype
- Could be launched in India by 2022
Harley-Davidson is set to globally unveil its next motorcycle on 13 July, 2021. This motorcycle which was known as the 1250 Custom so far will be revealed via a video event.
The teaser which announces the date also reads ‘From Evolution to Revolution’ suggesting Harley’s move from the Evolution engine found on the Sportster range to the new Revolution Max motor that features on the Pan America 1250. This motor churns out 150.1bhp and 128Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. We can expect the new bike to have slightly different power figures to suit its cruiser character. Even the firing order could be retuned to give the 1250 Custom a proper Harley exhaust note.
Harley Davidson’s new motorcycle will go head-on against the Indian Scout and Triumph Bonneville Bobber. It is likely to be launched in a couple of months from now in international markets and is likely to make its way to India by 2022.
