Harley-Davidson has filed patents for the name ‘H-D Revelation’. The name will be used for its upcoming electric motorcycle technology that includes batteries, chargers and powertrains.
Earlier, the manufacturer announced that it was planning to launch the production ready version of the Project Livewire it showcased back in 2014. Meanwhile, engine names and model names have always been different for Harley-Davidson; the electric bikes would be no exception. Since we know that the name is not for a new motorcycle, it is safe to say that it will be used for the engine that will power the upcoming electric bike.
Apart from this patent, Harley-Davidson has also trademarked three new models- ‘Bronx’, ‘Pan America’ and ‘48X’. The bikes are expected to be unveiled sometime this year and could make their way to India soon after. On the other hand, the manufacturer’s electric bike is highly unlikely to makes its way to India anytime in the next two to three years.
