The 2018 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special and Road Glide Special have been unveiled. They get a slew of new paint schemes to give them a fresh look and a bigger rear wheel.
For 2018, the Street Glide Special is available in five paint schemes – black, red, cream white, candy red and blue. The Road Glide Special on the other hand, is offered in black, red, cream white and candy red. While their predecessors made liberal use of chrome, the 2018 Street Glide Special and Road Glide Special get a blacked out engine, exhaust, frame, forks and alloy wheels. While the front end continues with a 19-inch wheel, the Street Glide's rear gets an 18-inch wheel in place of the older bike’s 16in-inch wheel.
Being a part of Harely-Davidson’s Touring family, the Street Glide Special and Road Glide Special benefit from a slew of creature comforts, including an audio system and 6.5in touchscreen infotainment system. At the heart of these bikes is a Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, displacing 1753cc and churning out 150Nm of torque.
The Street Glide Special is priced at USD 25,999 (Rs 16.64 lakhs) while the Road Glide Special retails at USD 26,299 (Rs 16.83 lakhs). We can expect both these bikes to be launched in India as CBUs in the next few weeks.
