- India launch on 3 July, 2023
- Will rival the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350
- Likely to be priced around Rs. 2.50 lakh
Harley-Davidson India will launch its most-affordable motorcycle, the X440, in our market on 3 July, 2023. This new motorcycle has been developed in partnership with Hero MotoCorp and will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda H’ness CB350 in India.
Notably, the company has already shared the images of this motorcycle. It has also released a video of this product that reveals the exhaust note of the upcoming X440. The styling cues, as seen in the images, comprise a round headlight with integrated Harley-Davidson branding, a single-pod instrument cluster, a flat handlebar, a side-slung exhaust, machined alloy wheels, and retro-style round indicators.
The details about the mechanical specifications are limited at the moment. However, this motorcycle is expected to arrive with a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil and air-cooled engine that will redline at 8,000rpm. We expect the output figures to be close to 30bhp and 35Nm. Meanwhile, the hardware on the new X440 will comprise upside-down front forks, twin rear shocks, and disc brakes on both wheels. The safety net will most likely comprise a dual-channel ABS and a side-stand engine cut-off function.
We expect the new X440 to arrive around the Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
