Harley-Davidson has finally launched its most affordable model, the X440 in India with a starting price of Rs 2.29 lakh, ex-showroom.
Now, that pricing is for the base, Denim variant that is offered in a single colour option- Mustard Denim. The model comes with a yellow fuel tank with the rest of the bodywork in black. It is also the only variant with tube-type tyres and spoke wheels. Then there is the Vivid variant at Rs 2.49 lakh. This version of the Harley-Davidson X440 is being offered in Metallic Thick Red and Metallic Dark Silver, both of which come with alloy wheels. And lastly there is the top-spec ‘S’ version that costs Rs 2.69 lakh and is available in a single Matte Black colour. It comes with 3D decals and machined alloys.
That said, the top variant also gets connectivity feature as standard which gives access to turn-by-turn navigation, phone and text alerts and music control as well. While this isn’t available on the other variants, all come with a 3.5-inch TFT screen, full-LED lighting and dual-channel ABS.
As for its powertrain, the Harley-Davidson X440 uses a 440cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 27bhp and 38Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Now, when it comes to alternatives, the X440 goes up against the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350 and Jawa 42 in India.
