If you did watch the seventh part of Harry Potter and are a motorcycle enthusiast, you would have murmured out ‘Royal Enfield’ during its starring scene. For anyone wanting to grab a look at the custom-painted sidecar equipped motorcycle from Harry Potter, it is now on display at the Museum of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
In the story line, the de-badged Royal Enfield was in the Deathly Hallows, where Hagrid and Harry drove in it while helping Harry escape. Arthur Weasley had hidden the bike in his backyard after Hagrid and Harry reached the Burrow. After the Second Wizarding War was over Mr. Weasley repaired the motorcycle and later returned it to Harry.
The 500cc Enfield was equipped with a sidecar and a few modifications to make the motorcycle period correct for the film. The film company had a total of seven of these motorcycles, one of which crashed and ended up in the lake and one was completely modified for a flying scene.
The bike is currently on loan to the Museum of Liverpool from Warner Bros. Studios, who are the makers of the Harry Potter films.
