2020 is about to end in a few hours and we think it’s the right time to look back and know more about how the entire two-wheeler industry performed when it comes to Indian buyers coming online and researching about it. In this story, we tell you the most researched adventure bikes of 2020.
Rank 5: Benelli TRK 502X
The TRK 502X is a middle-weight ADV from Benelli and interestingly the BS6 variant is yet to go on sale in India. But it is quite interesting to see how Indian buyers wanted to know more about this bike. It looks like its big bulky proportions and off-road credentials made it quite enticing among the researchers.
Tiger is a brand that introduced the concept of big ADVs in India and we aren’t surprised at all to find it in this list. The Tiger 900 replaced the famous Tiger 800 and with its sleeker bodywork and more powerful engine, the bike managed to impress a lot of Indian buyers. While we did test its GT variant, we couldn’t get our hands on the Rally Pro variant which is the highest selling variant in India.
The 390 Adventure made it to the top three and we aren’t surprised at all. The combination of powerful motor, aspirational brand and good after sales service made the 390 Adventure one of the finest ADV touring motorcycles ever made.
The Xpulse 200 is the most affordable adventure bike one can buy in India. Its lightweight nature, accessible seat height and great price point made it a big hit for Hero MotoCorp. The B6 avatar is much better in terms of engine refinement and performance as compared to its older iteration.
The Himalayan started the affordable ADV culture in India and it is also clear that the most affordable bike in the segment doesn’t need to be the most popular one. The Himalayan with its torquey motor and excellent seating ergonomics makes it one of the best city and highway motorcycles in the country.
