Here is an illustrative image from an international source of what could be the 2017 Yamaha YZF R15. The picture was developed taking various inputs from a revelations and speculations.
The source says that this is what the R15 could end up looking like when it’s given some styling tweaks ahead of being released as part of the 2017 line-up from Yamaha. With this motorcycle expected to have this design language, it seems motorcycle manufacturers can’t have enough of getting sharper and edgier with every new model.
Rumours suggest, that even the R3 will be based around the same styling philosophy as the upcoming R15. There is no doubt, Yamaha will have to get as aggressive as possible with their design to take on the upcoming Honda CBR250RR.
At the moment, the R15 is powered by a 150cc single cylinder unit that produces 17bhp and 15Nm of torque. The engine transmits power via a six-speed gearbox and a chain drive. We expect the motorcycle to get a slight performance bump as well. As for those upside-down forks seen in the illustration, we can hope for those too.
