Hero MotoCorp made changes to its top-level management by appointing Markus Feichtner as the Head of ‘Engine Design & Development’ and Rajat Bhargava as Head of Strategy & Performance Transformation respectively.
Markus Feichtner is from Austria head-quartered AVL (automotive consulting firm) where he was the Executive Director of AVL’s India Technical Centre. He will now head the ‘Engine Design & Development’ department. This newly created department is a part of Hero Centre for Global Innovation and R&D, based in Kukas near Jaipur, Rajasthan. An investment of Rs 450 crore was made for this project and Marcus will report to the head of this same centre. He has been associated with AVL’s India Technical Centre and had taken up responsibilities of technical leadership, strategy generation and business development.
The second appointment from Hero was the Head of Strategy & Performance Transformation and Rajat Bhargava was assigned to this position. Bhargava is from Gurgaon-based McKinsey & Company and was a Senior Partner, managing the company’s Operational and Industrial Practices in India. He also led the Purchasing & Supply Management Practice in Asia Pacific. Now being in the list of top leadership team of Hero MotoCorp he will directly report to Pawan Munjal, MD & CEO of the company.
