The Hero Centennial is a Karizma XMR-based special edition motorcycle which will be limited to just 100 units. It was shown to the public at the Hero World event earlier this year and all the details of the bike were revealed just recently. The Centennial is special for more reasons than one and we tell you all about it in this compilation of its pictures.
The Centennial has been created in honour of the founder of Hero group, Dr. Brijmohan Lal Munjal’s 101st birth anniversary.
Although the bike is based on the same platform as the Karizma XMR, Hero has bestowed it with a host of components that are much more upmarket than the stock Karizma.
It gets some carbon fibre body panels while the handlebar, handlebar mount, triple clamp, and footpegs are machined and anodised.
It rides on diamond-cut alloy wheels that are suspended by fully adjustable, gas-charged, monoshock from Wilbers and 43mm upside-down forks with compression and rebound adjustability.
Clinging on to its 210cc engine is a carbon fibre and titanium exhaust system sourced from Akrapovic. The usage of lighter components has helped Hero shave 5.5kg off the bike’s overall kerb weight.
Enhancing its exclusivity further is a single seat with a carbon fibre pillion seat cowl and milled aluminium numbered badging on the side covers.
All the 100 units of the Centennial will be sold through an auction to Hero’s employees, associates, business partners, and stakeholders. Deliveries of the motorcycles will commence in September 2024.
