Hero is set to launch their premium 125cc scooter, the Destini 125 in India tomorrow.
It borrows most of its styling from the Duet 110 and gets a slightly burly bodywork with smooth lines and creases. The Destini 125 additionally gets a strip of chrome on the side panels and between its turn indicators. While these indicators are placed on the front apron, the headlamp is placed on the handlebar.
The handlebar is likely to house an instrument cluster that includes an analogue speedometer and digital display. In its list of features, the Destini 125 will also offer the i3S system which helps in conserving fuel, an external fuel filler cap and optional USB charging. The scooter will be powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.7bhp and 10.2Nm of torque.
While the braking hardware on the Destini 125 is unknown, it surely will come equipped with CBS (combined braking system) as standard. We expect Hero to price the scooter between Rs 52,000 and Rs 55,000. It will compete against the Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access 125 in the country.
