Hero Motocorp has added a new Xtec variant to the Destini 125 recently. It has been priced at Rs 79,990- a premium over the base LX version. To justify the additional money, Hero has fitted the Destini Xtec with some new features and bodily tweaks. What are those? We list them in this article.
A more premium look
The bodywork and design of the Destini Xtec remains the same as the other variants, it is embellished with more chrome to set it apart. While the standard model gets chrome on its front apron, the Xtec also features it on the headlamp cowl, mirrors and side panels. It also comes with a dual-tone seat and ‘Xtec’ badging for further differentiation.
New colour option
Adding to all the chrome elements, the Hero Destini Xtec is offered in a new colour called Nexus Blue. While the Destini is available in a choice of seven colours in total, the Nexus Blue paint is exclusive to the Xtec version.
New features
Hero has taken the opportunity to plonk in some additional features to the Destini that put it in par with its rivals like the Suzuki Access 125. It gets a full-LED headlamp and a Bluetooth-enabled semi-digital instrument cluster that can be paired to a smartphone to display incoming call and text alerts. That said, the Destini Xtec also packs a USB charger in its list of features now.
Added comfort
Lastly, the Hero Destini Xtec also receives a pillion backrest as standard that not only adds to its comfort levels but also the overall premiumness of the scooter.
