Hero MotoCorp announced its intentions to enter the 125cc scooter segment with two new products during the 2018 Auto Expo. Of these, the Duet 125 is a conservative unisex scooter targeted at a family man. Here is a photo gallery of the Hero Duet 125.
The Duet 125 takes a ‘don’t fix it if it isn’t broken approach’ by carrying over most of the styling cues from its 110cc sibling.
The conservative body shape, chrome garnish at the front and the rich paint schemes give the Duet 125 an elegant look.
The headlamp is located on the handlebar, while the turn signals are positioned on the either side of the chrome garnish on the apron.
The instrument cluster consists of an analogue speedometer and a digital display which shows fuel level, odometer, trip meter and service due indicator.
The Duet 125 is also equipped with Hero’s proprietary i3S start-stop system, which helps save fuel by turning off the engine at traffic signals.
Features like external fuel cap, three-in-one ignition key slot and USB phone charging port improve the Duet 125’s practicality quotient.
Powering the Duet 125 is a 124cc single-cylinder engine delivering 8.7bhp and 10.2Nm of torque through a CVT transmission.
It rides on 10-inch alloy wheels with telescopic front suspension and a rear monoshock. Both wheels get 130mm drum brakes.
