Hero has teased the upcoming Duet 125 on social media, hinting that the scooter will be launched soon.
The Duet 125 is one of Hero’s first 125cc scooters, the other being the Maestro Edge 125. Its design is similar to the 110cc variant although it also gets a chrome strip on its fascia that adds a premium touch. The Duet 125 gets an analogue speedometer with a small digital unit which displays odometer, fuel level, trip meter and service due indicator.
Furthermore, Hero has also equipped the Duet 125 with its proprietary i3S (start-stop system) for better fuel efficiency. It is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder engine which produces 8.7bhp and 10.2Nm of torque. Braking power comes from ad rum brake setup on both ends with a combined braking system (CBS).
The 125cc scooter segment has seen a boom in India lately. The segment has the Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq 125, Aprilia SR125 and Suzuki Burgman Street. However with an expected price of around Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000 the Duet 125’s biggest rivals will be the Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Activa 125.
