We were the first ones to break the Hero Duet news last year and now for the first time, the scooter has been inside a dealership.
As per the spied pictures, the overall body proportions of the Duet are not as big as the Activa 3G, but looks more like the Activa-i competition. It gets a metal body, looks compact and the overall design styling is fresh and quite striking. However, the instrument cluster looks basic and doesn’t really compliment the Duet’s overall design. There are few parts like the grab rail and foot pegs that have been borrowed from the Maestro in order to keep cost in check.
Talking about the mechanicals, the Duet might be powered by a new 110cc engine that has been co-developed with Hero MotoCorp’s Italian partner, AVL Engineering. Power figures of the Duet could hover around 8bhp-9bhp, which is more than decent.
Hero MotoCorp will launch the Duet scooter this festive season, which will help them gain additional sales and market share. With Duet’s young design, it plans to target young women consumers who have been looking for something new in terms of styling, features and performance.
