Hero Electric has upgraded its range of electric scooters with the introduction of lithium ion technology for their batteries. The new scooters were launched in Delhi today in the presence of Satyender Jain, Minister of Health and Industry, Naveen Munjal, MD, Hero Eco and Sohinder Gill, CEO, Global Hero Eco.
This lithium ion technology has specifically developed to withstand Indian weather and road conditions. Besides, these scooters also come with a new electric charger which can conveniently charge the scooters in covered and un-covered locations. Speaking about the new technology, Mr Gill said, “We have been able to tap the lithium ion technology thanks to the support from the Delhi Government and our own extensive research in the EV segment. With the city’s pollution levels growing at an alarming rate, restorative steps in the form on EVs are the need of the hour.”
The recent ‘odd-even’ regulation passed in Delhi, which is not applicable for electric vehicles, saw Hero Electric release a new offensive. As a marketing gimmick, Hero Electric has also stationed e-bikes at metro stations and prominent city spots in Delhi to ferry people to their final destinations. Such marketing strategies are sure to help promote the brand and spread a good word about it.
