- Maestro Edge electric under development
- Will look like its petrol powered sibling
- Likely to be launched in 2020
Hero MotoCorp is working on electrifying some of its two-wheeler models. The Maestro Edge is one of the first few ones as the company has readied the green version of this stylish scooter.
According to this picture, it is clear that the company hasn’t touched the body work and the styling of the electric Maestro Edge. However, in order to make it look a bit different from the petrol powered scooter, expect the production version to get fancier paint schemes along with some decals on the body to showcase its electric nature. The upcoming EV from Hero MotoCorp is likely to get a battery of a decent size. The electric motor will power the rear wheel. It’s still not clear if Hero MotoCorp will get premium features like regenerative braking on its scooters. It all depends on how the company position its upcoming e-scooter.
We like to believe that Hero MotoCorp will price this e-scooter quite competitively as it would want to get as much sales as possible in the start. This strategy will help them get their customer’s ride data and that could be used to develop further more electric scooters and motorcycles.
