Hero Electric has announced the launch of its new segment of e-scooters, the ‘City Speed’. The company said in its press announcement that the City Speed range offers higher cruising speed and gradeability.
The City Speed portfolio will comprise of three e-scooters, the Optima-hx, Nyx-hx, and the Photon-hx. The new e-scooters will be available at 500+ Hero Electric dealerships across 25 states in India. The City Speed range will be priced from Rs 57,560. The e-scooters would be even more affordable in places like Delhi due to the additional subsidy.
Speaking about the launch of the City Speed range, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric India, said that the new range of bikes has a driving range from 70km to 200km. Gill added that these bikes are designed to give enough power and punch and great economy without stressing the batteries.
The company also announced that it will further invest in R&D to introduce technologically advanced products to make the switch from ICE vehicles. The details about the new products, however, are scarce at the moment.
