- Hero Electric records 40,000 customer engagements from April to July FY2020-21
- Sales increase six-fold as compared to last year
Hero Electric has witnessed a six-fold increase in its sales in the first four months of the ongoing financial year 2020-21 as compared to the corresponding period last year. Although the company hasn’t shared the exact sales figure, it has reported that there were over 40,000 customer engagements in the said period. Moreover, Hero Electric’s share in the high-speed electric two-wheeler segment stood at 36 per cent in India from April to July FY2020-21.
Hero Electric reported such positive growth in the last four months, despite the overall market getting disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic which led to a nationwide lockdown from March 2020. However, the company mainly focused on online customer engagement by rolling out attractive schemes and discounts. These campaigns included ‘Be a Bike Buddy’, ‘Be a Green Hero’ and ‘Take home a Hero – return if you don’t like.’
Hero Electric is one of the few well-established electric two-wheelers brands in India with five e-scooters in its portfolio and over 610 sales and service outlets spread across the country. In the coming days, the company is also planning to launch an electric motorcycle, the AE-47, which was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020. The motorcycle will compete against the Revolt RV 400.
