Hero MotoCorp has extended the duration of free service and warranty for its customers due to the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown. A similar announcement was recently made by Yamaha and Honda as well.
The services that are included under this extension are all free service (standard and under Joyride) as well as standard warranty. The validity of these services has been extended by 60 days from their expiry date. This will help prevent the customers from visiting the service centres, thereby encouraging them to adhere to the restrictions imposed by the government on physical movement.
With the same objective of lessening the footfall of customers at its dealerships and service centres, Hero MotoCorp recently launched sales and aftersales-related services on the messaging platform, WhatsApp. Using this facility, customers can book service, provide post-service feedback, check status of their vehicle left for repair, locate nearest dealership and service centres, and more. The interactive menu-based chatbot is available 24x7.
