- Glamour Xtec DR, Glamour DR, and Glamour DS names registered
- To be powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder motor
- Type-approval documents leaked
Hero MotoCorp has filed new documents for possibly a new Glamour model. Its type-approval file has been leaked online and it reveals new information about the names, engine, and dimensions as well.
Hero has registered the Glamour Xtec DR as the base model and two more names as additional models – Glamour DR and Glamour DS. The Xtec DR could get disc and drum brake variants, and additional variants could also feature the same. Then, Hero will continue to use a 124cc, single-cylinder, OBD2-compliant motor for the upcoming Glamour Xtec DR trim. Its power output is rated at 10.72bhp, which is the same as the current Glamour Xtec model’s numbers.
In terms of dimensions, the Glamour Xtec DR and standard DR/DS models could get 1273mm and 1267mm of wheelbase, respectively. So far, these are the only details revealed from the new type-approval document.
Just a few weeks ago, a new Glamour model was also spotted in the flesh. It revealed that the bike will carry the same single-pod headlight, muscular design, and a single-piece grab-rail. The hardware setup included telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks. As mentioned earlier, there could be a disc and drum brake option.
As of now, there are two Hero Glamour models on sale – standard and Xtec. The asking price of the standard model is Rs. 80,908, while the Xtec trims retail from Rs. 87,748 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The price difference is a result of the extra features that the Xtec model gets.
