Hero Glamour Xtec: What else can you buy?

Hero has just launched the Glamour Xtec variant which now joins the Glamour lineup. This new variant is offered in two new colour options: Glossy Black and Matte Axis Grey. It also brings a few additional segment first features like turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. The Glamour Xtec carries the same powertrain, 124.7cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 10.7bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm that comes paired to a five-speed transmission. The Xtec variant is further categorised into drum and disc variants. The Xtec Drum is priced at Rs 78,900, while the Xtec Disc is priced at Rs 83,500 ex-showroom (Mumbai). 1. Honda SP 125 

The Honda SP 125 is a sporty looking commuter that gets tank extensions on both sides, graphics all across its body and a chrome cover on the exhaust. It further comes with features like an LED headlamp, silent start feature, a fully digital instrument cluster, engine kill switch and combi-braking system. It's powered by a 124cc engine that makes 10.72bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.9Nm at 6,000rpm. This engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox. The sporty commuter bike is available in four colours (Striking Green, Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue and Matte Axis Grey Metallic) and two variants (Drum and Disc). The Honda SP 125 drum is priced at Rs 79,553, while the Honda SP 125 disc is priced at Rs 83,849 ex-showroom (Mumbai).

2. Bajaj Pulsar 125

The next competitor of the Glamour Xtec is the Bajaj Pulsar 125. This motorcycle gets a muscular and conventional design. It is offered with limited features like a halogen headlamp, semi-digital instrument cluster, an LED taillight, metal cover on its exhaust and split seat as an option. The bike draws power from a 124.4cc engine that produces 11.64bhp at 8,500rpm and 10.8Nm at 6,500rpm. The Pulsar 125 is available in an STD and Split Seat variant which is further subdivided into drum and disc variants. The ex-showroom (Mumbai) prices of the bike start at Rs 74,323. It is available in a total of six colour options: Neon Blue, Neon Green, Solar Red, Black Red, Platinum Silver and Black Silver.

3. TVS Ntorq 125

Although the TVS Ntorq 125 is a scooter and not a motorcycle, it can still be an option to consider for those looking out for comfort, convenience and features at this price point. The sporty scooter is available in a total of four variants and the prices start at Rs 74,917 ex-showroom (Mumbai). Recently the company also introduced the Race XP variant which gets features like a three-tone paint scheme, LCD instrument cluster that supports the SmartXonnect app, two riding modes (race and street) and engine kill switch. This variant also produces 0.75bhp and 0.3Nm more compared to the standard variant. The TVS Ntorq 125 is available in a total of twelve colour options.

4. Honda Grazia

The Honda Grazia is again an option which one can consider as it is in the same price bracket and offers convenience. The Grazia gets a sharp and stylish design. It is offered with features like silent start, side stand engine cut off, LED headlamp, daytime running LED, front glove box and idle start-stop feature. Powering the Honda Grazia is a 124cc engine that makes 8.14bhp at 6,000rpm and 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm. It is available in three variants: Drum, Disc and Sports Edition. The prices start at Rs 78,067 ex-showroom (Mumbai).

5. Suzuki Burgman Street 125

The final two-wheeler in this price bracket happens to be the Burgman Street 125. This maxi-scooter gets a sharp and bulky design. It comes equipped with features like an LED headlamp, LED taillight, two-litre glovebox, USB socket, engine kill switch and a fully digital instrument cluster. This digital dash also gets Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It is available in five colours: Blue, Matte Black, White, Grey and Maroon. The maxi-scooter is offered in two variants: STD and Bluetooth. The standard variant is priced at Rs 84,371, while the Bluetooth variant is priced at Rs 87,871 ex-showroom (Mumbai).
