Hero MotoCorp has reintroduced the HF Dawn in India at Rs 37,400 (ex-showroom). For now, the commuter bike is available only in Orissa, however the company has plans to launch it in other parts of the country eventually.
Although the new HF Dawn continues with a barebones design, it gets a few styling updates. All the chrome elements like the headlamp border, exhaust shield, leg guard and wheels are now blacked out. Apart from the customary new paint schemes, the tank also gets new graphics. Powering the HF Dawn is a 97cc single-cylinder engine delivering 8.2bhp and 8Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed transmission. It is available in a single variant with kick start and alloy wheels.
The Hero HF Dawn was discontinued in May last year with the auto industry’s move to BS IV emission norms. While its siblings have set benchmarks in the industry, the HF Dawn struggled to achieve even four-digit sales numbers in a month. With the facelift, we can expect the HF Dawn to attract a bigger crowd this time around. At Rs 37,400, the HF Dawn is the most affordable motorcycle in Hero’s line-up. It competes against the TVS Sport and the Bajaj CT100.
