The HF Deluxe is Hero’s most affordable motorcycle which was updated to comply with BS6 norms a few months back. Available in two kick start variants and two self-start models, the prices of the commuter start at Rs 46,800 and go up to Rs 58,000. Although the HF Deluxe is a durable, fuel efficient and maintenance-friendly motorcycle, if you’re looking for its similarly-priced alternatives, here are your options.
TVS XL 100 Comfort: Rs 46,114
The TVS XL 100 Comfort is an epitome of a sturdy workhorse which is majorly used in rural areas for utilitarian purposes. While the step-through design allows carrying plenty of things at the front, the long seat also gives ample of room to fasten stuff. Powering the moped is a 100cc engine which makes 4.4bhp and 6.5Nm. Moreover, the large 16-inch spoke wheels means it can handle rough roads without much drama.
Bajaj CT 110: Rs 48,410-51,520
The Bajaj CT 110 is the larger displacement version of the entry-level CT 100. Although its design is similar to the latter, additional cosmetic treatment such as attractive graphics and blacked-out hardware give it a premium look. It also gets thicker cushioning for the seat and tank pads for added comfort. Propelling the CT 110 is a 115cc, air-cooled, DTS-i engine which comes mated to a four-speed gearbox and is known for its impressive mileage.
TVS Sport: Rs 52,500-59,675
If you want a 110cc commuter but something which looks sportier than the aforementioned ones, the TVS Sport is an ideal option. It boasts of a sleek design which is accentuated by the edgy graphics and blacked out components. Also, TVS replaced the Sport’s 100cc engine by a larger 110cc mill during the BS6 transition which produces 9.1bhp and 8.7Nm. It is available in a kick start and a self-start variant.
Okinawa Lite: Rs 59,990
The environmentalists who wish to buy an eco-friendly ride for their short distance commutes, the Okinawa Lite is a new electric scooter in the market. It features a quirky and rounded design along with modern bits such as all-LED lighting, hazard lamps and LCD display. While the battery range of the Lite stands at 50-60km, its top speed is limited to 25kmph. With a large floorboard and a 17-litre boot, the e-scooter is also practical.
