The Hero Hunk facelift has been launched in India at Rs 69,725 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 150cc commuter motorcycle will be available in two variants – single disc and double disc, with the latter being priced at Rs 72,825 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
In true Hero fashion, the facelifted Hunk gets a host of new paint schemes and catchy decals. The biggest change, however, is in the powertrain department. The 150cc single-cylinder ATFT engine now churns out 15.6bhp and 13.5Nm of torque, up from 14bhp and 13Nm. The engine continues to be offered with a five-speed transmission. While the 240mm front disc brake is offered as standard, Hero MotoCorp is also offering an optional 220mm rear disc brake as an optional extra.
Besides these, the new Hero hunk also gets a new viscous air filter and inverted GRS gas-charged suspension, with five-step preload adjustability. There is no change in the dimensions or the kerb weight of the motorcycle, which indicates that there hasn’t been any major change in the bike’s mechanicals.
The new Hero Hunk is available in six funky paint schemes – bold brown, panther black, matte black, force silver, ebony grey and blazing red. It competes with other 150cc commuters like the Honda CB Unicorn 160, Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i, TVS Apache RTR 160, Yamaha SZ-RR, Suzuki GS 150R and the Yamaha FZ-16.
