- Will get a fully digital instrument console
- To be powered by a 210cc, liquid-cooled engine
- India launch scheduled for 29 August
Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch the new Karizma XMR 210 and has slated the event for 29 August. Now, another spy shot has revealed new details of the upcoming sports-tourer from Hero.
The Karizma XMR 210 will feature a fully digital instrument console. And considering that Hero already has Bluetooth connectivity modules on its other motorcycles, we expect the new Karizma XMR 210 to feature it as well. Apart from that, the unit would pack an odometer, speedometer, tachometer, trip meter reading, gear position indicator and more. Hero will power the new Karizma with a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that will dish out 25bhp and 30Nm. It’ll be linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The motor will be housed in a trellis frame, that’s suspended on telescopic front forks and a monoshock. Its braking hardware comprises a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Apart from that, the new Karizma will get clip-on handlebars but the riding posture is unlikely to be as committed as you see on supersports motorcycles.
Design-wise, the upcoming Hero Karizma will sport an aggressive design with a sharp front end and cuts and creases all over. It gets a two-piece seat and a set of grabrail as well at the rear. The test mule has made quite a few appearances and the bike image has also been leaked from a dealer event.
We expect the bike Hero to price the Karizma XMR 210 around Rs. 2 lakh and once launched, it will rival the Yamaha YZF R15 V4.
