Hero Motocorp is scheduled to launch the all-new Karizma XMR 210 in India next week and the motorcycle will go up against the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Yamaha R15 and Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 here. But before it arrives, we list everything that you can expect from the motorcycle.
Aggressive styling
One of the biggest standout features on the iconic Karizma was its styling. For the era it was buff and had the appeal of a much bigger motorcycle. It was also offered in bright yellow for good reason. Going by the spy images and teaser videos, the new model also seems to be on the same footsteps. It is expected to come with an aggressive design complete with sharp lines and creases all over its bodywork. The modern full-LED headlamp and split-seat setup adding to its newness. That said, Hero will also offer the motorcycle in yellow and red colour options.
New engine
The Hero Karizma XMR 210 will come powered by an all-new engine. This motor has a displacement of 210cc and is a single-cylinder unit. What’s more interesting though is the engine comes with liquid-cooling and is expected to churn out around 25bhp and 20Nm. It will come mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
As for hardware, the Karizma XMR 210 will sport telescopic forks at the front and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking on the other hand, will include disc brakes at both ends with the likeliness of dual-channel ABS as standard.
Feature list
Apart from the full-LED lighting, we are expecting Hero to equip the new Karizma with features like a colour-LCD screen that will also get Bluetooth connectivity. Whether or not it is offered as standard is yet to be known. However, the invite sent out for the launch event showcased that the cluster reads out everything one would need to know while on the motorcycle.
Pricing
The Hero Karizma XMR 210 will make its debut on 29 August. The expected pricing for the motorcycle is between Rs 1.9 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom.
