The Hero Karizma XMR 210 was recently leaked during its dealer presentation ahead of its official launch in India. The Karizma is a legendary nameplate in the Indian market, and the new XMR 210 aims to take it a step further. While we await its official launch in the country, here’s everything you need to know about the Hero Karizma XMR 210.
Design
The Hero Karizma XMR 210 boasts an aggressive and sporty design appeal. The motorcycle will feature sleek LED headlights, a layered fairing, and a stubby upswept exhaust. The Karizma XMR will sport a raised tail section and split seats to enhance its visual appeal. The bike will also feature multi-spoke machined alloys.
Engine Specifications
As we mentioned in our exclusive report, the upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 210 will be powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This fuel-injected motor is expected to generate a maximum output of 24bhp and a peak torque of around 30Nm. The engine is likely to be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Features
Although much isn’t known about the Karizma XMR 210’s equipment list, we expect it to come loaded with features like LED headlamps, a fully digital instrument cluster, Smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, and more. The safety net is likely to include dual-channel ABS.
Suspension and Brakes
Going by the spy pictures, the Hero Karizma XMR 210 will sport conventional telescopic front forks and a mono-shock at the back. Although the exact specs of the tyres are unknown, we expect them to be tubeless and run on 17-inch alloy wheels. As far as stopping power is concerned, the motorcycle will feature disc brakes at both ends.
Pricing, Competition, and Launch Date
According to our sources, the Hero Karizma XMR 210 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against the likes of the Yamaha R15 V4, KTM RC200 and the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Given that the Karizma XMR 210 was recently showcased to Hero’s dealer partners, the official launch is sooner than expected. We expect it to be launched in India during the festive season around October or November 2023.
