- First unit of Karizma XMR rolls out of factory
- Priced at Rs 1.73 lakh, ex-showroom
Hero MotoCorp recently rolled the first unit of the new Karizma XMR out of its factory and deliveries of the bike are set to commence soon. The motorcycle was officially launched in India on 29 August with an introductory price tag of Rs. 1.73 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings for the new Karizma XMR are open for Rs. 3,000.
The new XMR iteration of the Karizma has been built from the ground up with everything about it being all new. It is powered by a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine that churns out 25.15bhp and 20.4Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox accompanied by an assist and slipper clutch. It is also pretty light with a kerb weight of 163.5kg. As for the hardware, underpinning the new Karizma is a single-piece steel trellis frame along with telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.
The Karizma XMR also sports an all-new bodywork with a wide and sharp headlamp nestled in a sleek and angular fairing. The dual-tone fuel tank is muscular and blends nicely with an upswept and pointed tail section. The feature list of the motorcycle is also interesting. The illumination setup comprises LED lights all around while all the information is displayed on an LCD console that boasts ambient-based brightness adjustment functionality and Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone pairing. Furthermore, there’s a USB charging port and a button for adjusting the windscreen.
Hero has launched the new Karizma XMR in three colour options including yellow, red, and black. It competes against the KTM RC 200 and the Yamaha R15 V4.
