The latest teaser of the Hero Karizma XMR has revealed the motorcycle’s engine capacity and layout. The bike will be powered by a 210cc engine that will feature a DOHC (dual overhead camshaft) setup. In fact, we were the first to bring you an exclusive report about the new Karizma XMR’s engine details.
While the latest teaser doesn’t reveal anything about the XMR 210’s engine construction, we know that the engine will feature liquid cooling and a short-stroke layout. Although the power figures aren’t known yet, trusted sources have suggested that the 210cc, liquid-cooled motor is likely to churn out close to 25bhp and around 20Nm. This motor will come mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Besides the engine details, the new Karizma XMR 210 will get dual-channel ABS as a part of the safety net. Moreover, it will also feature an LCD instrument cluster and LED lighting all around. Meanwhile, the motorcycle will come shod with telescopic forks up front and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Braking tasks will be shouldered by disc brakes at both ends and as we mentioned earlier, a dual-channel ABS will be on offer as well. Furthermore, the XMR 210 will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends.
The new Karizma XMR 210 will be launched in India on 29 August. Coming to its expected pricing, the Hero Karizma XMR 210 is likely to be priced at around Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom). It will primarily rival the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, but will also face competition from the Yamaha R15 and the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.
