- Karizma XMR price increased by Rs 7,000
- Pegged at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom) now
Hero MotoCorp brought back the popular Karizma in India in August this year with a price tag of Rs 1.73 lakh. Now, in line with Hero’s announcement last week, the fully-faired motorcycle has received its first hike of Rs 7,000 and it costs Rs 1.80 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
The Karizma XMR is currently the most premium offering from Hero. It boasts a new-age design with an aggressive-looking front fascia, angular side fairings, a chiseled fuel tank, and a sharp tail section. Although it gets a clip-on handlebar and split seat, the ergonomics are more comfortable than quintessential sportbikes. Complementing its modern design are a bunch of features like full-LED lighting, a digital console, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charger, and an adjustable visor.
Propelling the Karizma XMR is a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine that produces 25.15bhp and 20.4Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. As for the cycle parts, it is based on a steel trellis frame that rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and is suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. The stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends assisted by dual-channel ABS. Incorporating an 11-litre fuel tank, the XMR tips the scales at 163.5kg.
The new Hero Karizma XMR competes against the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 200, and Yamaha R15 V4.
