- New teaser shows fuel tank and the ‘Karizma’ badge
- Official launch scheduled for 29 August
- Likely to be priced close to Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom)
Hero MotoCorp is all set to bring back its iconic product, the Karizma, on 29 August. While that’s a few days away, the company has already started teasing the motorcycle. Interestingly, the latest teaser video gives slight glimpses of the upcoming Karizma XMR.
The video shows the top section of its muscular fuel tank along with the scooped-out seat. It also reveals the shining, chrome-finished ‘Karizma’ badge while ending with the launch date. Interestingly, the previous teaser also gave away the overall stance of the Karizma XMR which looked sharp and aggressive. However, the placement of the clip-on handlebar clearly hints towards ergonomics that are more comfortable than committed.
Another detail that we know about the Karizma XMR is its engine displacement. It will be powered by a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that might pump out around 25bhp and 30Nm. Transmission duties will be handled by a six-speed gearbox. On the hardware front, it is evidently running 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends with telescopic forks and a monoshock and single disc brake at both ends. The features that will certainly be on offer include a full-LED lighting system, a digital instrument cluster, and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.
The new Hero Karizma XMR 210 is expected to be priced close to Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Bajaj Pulsar F250, and the Yamaha R15 V4.
