The Hero Maestro Edge has been introduced in Sri Lanka, christened as the Dash. The 110cc scooter is identical to the model sold in India, and has been launched in the country as an SKD (semi-knocked down) model.
The only visible difference between the Maestro Edge sold here and the Dash is the seat. The Dash is also available in three funky dual tone paint schemes along with the solid colours options that are sold here. The Hero Dash is sold in Sri Lanka along with the Pleasure scooter. ‘Dash’ was the original moniker that Hero MotoCorp used when the scooter first broke cover as a concept, back in 2014. For the Indian market though, the company decided to capitalise on the ‘Maestro’ moniker’s popularity and named the production version as Maestro Edge. The Maestro Edge is now sold in India alongside the original Maestro, as the company’s flagship scooter.
The Maestro Edge is HeroMotoCorp's first all-new product since it parted ways with its joint venture partner, Honda. The Maestro Edge ditches its predecessor’s curves to adopt sharper lines, which do an excellent job of hiding the scooter’s bulk. Based on a new platform, the Maestro Edge is powered by a 111cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, that develops 8.3bhp and 8.3Nm of torque. In India, the Maestro Edge competes with the Honda Activa 3G and the TVS Jupiter.
