- Hero to partner with MotoGB as its distribution partners
- Likely to be priced under GBP 5,000
- Will rival the Classic 350 and Speed 400
Hero MotoCorp is planning to enter the UK market later this year with its A2-license compliant offering, the Mavrick 440. The motorcycle will be aimed at the lower end of the UK market and is expected to carry a price tag of under GBP 5,000.
The Hero Mavrick 440 is currently on sale in India, and once launched in the UK it will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Triumph Speed 400. Hero MotoCorp plans to enter the UK and European markets with MotoGB as its distribution partners.
The Mavrick 440 is a roadster-style motorcycle that features a 440cc, single-cylinder engine that sits inside a steel trellis chassis. The two-valve, SOHC motor puts out 27bhp at 6000rpm and a peak torque of 36Nm at 4000rpm. It is mated to a slick-shifting six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch, which offers a light clutch action.
The Mavrick 440 offers features like a digital speedometer, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and LED lighting all around. The motorcycle is based on the Harley-Davidson X440 and shares its underpinnings with the American roadster.
